The American Lung Association in Washington invites healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers to attend the LUNG FORCE, to learn about the latest treatments, resources, and research to help those living with lung cancer and lung disease live healthier, active lives. The LUNG FORCE Expo is a day-long educational event featuring two programs, one for providers (CEU available) and one for patients/caregivers: ? The Provider track will feature sessions highlighting lung cancer screening, advancements in immunotherapy for lung cancer, radiation therapy for lung cancer treatment, smoking cessation in the clinical setting, reducing COPD readmissions, pulmonary rehabilitation, and palliative care for advanced lung disease. CEU will be available for nurses, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists. Early bird registration (until 4/10) is only $75.
Patients will be treated to sessions on lung cancer screening, pulmonary rehab, indoor air quality, tobacco cessation, where to turn for support, as well as an inspiring patient and caregiver panel with Q&A.
Patients with lung cancer and all lung diseases will benefit from the program. Registration fee is $10 (financial hardship waiver is available).
**Breakfast will be available on the morning of the event and there will be a break during the event in which we will provide lunch for all participants.
