SKIS Painting, an award-winning, 3rd generation family-run commercial painting company is relocating its headquarters to Renton. Established in 1968 and celebrating its 50th year in business, SKIS has grown from a small outfit to 135+ employees across two locations and is merging to a new, single office to have its employees under one roof again. “We have loved being a part the Kent community,” says Jeff Ficks, owner and co-founder of SKIS. “We are ready for this next era of our business, and to develop working relationships with the Renton community while we continue to serve our customers and clients from all over the Puget Sound.”
SKIS has been a unique part of Seattle’s development boom, lending their coatings expertise to commercial and renovation projects such as the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Washington Hall, the Georgetown Squared office park, and the Southport office complex, currently under construction. Their best clients and partners are some of the largest and most well-known companies from all over the Pacific Northwest. SKIS is devoted to contributing to the positive development of communities in Seattle and beyond, beginning with the investment in their employees’ well-being and longevity with the company. Jesse Ficks, a 3rd generation family member in the business commented, “We have made it priority to put our employees and their families first and offer an unparalleled product and service. After 50 years, that hasn’t changed one bit.”
SKIS is committed to excellence and challenging the common notion of what to expect from commercial painting, as a career and as a service provider. To learn more about employment opportunities with SKIS, visit www.skispainting.com/careers.
