POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Instructional Coach to support the growth and development of teacher-coaches within our educational community. In this highly collaborative and strategic role, the coach will work directly with teacher-coaches to enhance instructional leadership practices through co-observation, feedback cycles, and data-informed coaching. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about mentoring teachers, driving instructional excellence, and making a meaningful impact within a flexible, part-time schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach the Coaches: Partner with teacher-coaches to strengthen their instructional coaching skills and strategies.
- Co-Observation Cycles: Conduct joint classroom observations with teacher-coaches, modeling best practices for noticing and naming instructional moves.
- Feedback Development: Facilitate timely, actionable feedback conversations to build reflective coaching habits.
- Data Analysis: Support teacher-coaches in gathering and analyzing student learning data to inform coaching priorities and goals.
- Lead by example: model effective instruction and coaching for teacher coaches to implement with coaches
Capacity Building and Professional Development
- Support teachers in implementing high-leverage instructional strategies and culturally responsive practices.
- Collaborative Planning: Engage in regular planning sessions with leadership to align coaching efforts with school-wide instructional priorities.
- Capacity Building: Facilitate mini-PD sessions or learning communities focused on elevating the coaching craft.
- Provide observational data to support professional development opportunities
- level meetings to build instructional capacity and analyze student work.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Monitor progress of coaching goals and contribute to instructional improvement plans.
- Collaborate with school leadership to align coaching work with the broader academic vision
- Foster a reflective, feedback-rich professional culture rooted in growth and equity.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- 5+ years of strong classroom teaching experience
- 3-5 years of teacher-coaching experience
- Deep knowledge of effective instructional practices and equity-driven pedagogy
- Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
- Prior experience as an instructional coach or school leader
- Familiarity with the Danielson Teaching Framework
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible hours (approximately 15 hours per week). Exact schedule will be determined in collaboration with school leadership based on availability and school’s needs.
This position will begin in mid-August and go through mid-March. Possible opportunity to continue through mid-June depending on organizational and individual’s mutual interest and capacity.

Compensation: $60-$75 per hour commensurate with experience and expertise.
