About Us

A Line in the Sand (ALITS) is a comprehensive educational consulting firm. We analyze and optimize learning environments of all types, including K-12 classrooms, general employee onboarding and training, community education programs, and any other place where learning occurs. The ALITS team has decades of teaching expertise inside and outside of the classroom and has also conducted equal amounts of formal and informal research on teaching and learning. If there is learning happening, we can figure out how to make it even better. ALITS understands that high quality learning environments are diverse, equitable, and inclusive, and those notions provide the foundation for all of our work.
